LOCAL swimmers grabbed two medals at the Bazuka National Schools Championships held in Sheffield.
Louisa Warwick, Natasha Perriam, Ellie Jones and Sophie Jenkins from St Swithun's Junior School in Winchester were joined by Amy Frank, Kate Farmer, Marianne Ironside, Hannah Kianizadeh and Ros Read from Hiltingbury School.
St Swithun's had qualified in the small schools freestyle and mixed stroke relays while Hiltingbury had qualified for the freestyle and mixed stroke relays for larger schools.
Both teams had reached Sheffield by winning county and regional competitions.
In the mixed stroke relay the St Swithun's team of Warwick, Perriam, Jones and Jenkins won bronze, breaking their school record by over a second.
The girls then competed in the freestyle relay and were third again.
The Hiltingbury girls were fourth in the freestyle relay and sixth in the mixed stroke relay.
