BASINGSTOKE Town will be sporting new kit next season in the Conference South.
Basingstoke Town Limited (BTL) commercial director Ken Taylor has brokered a kit deal with northern-based company Branded, who make football strips for a number of clubs.
Taylor runs his own sport clothing and sport equipment business, Elite Teamwear, from an office located at the Camrose.
He was able to use his contacts to secure a good deal on the new strips, which are due to arrive at the end of July for Ernie Howe's side to wear.
BTL owner and club president Rafi Razzak - whose company Centerprise International are the club's main sponsors - will again have the Centerprise logo emblazoned on the kit.
Taylor said: "We've gone back to the old blue and yellow stripes, which I think supporters will be pleased about, and red and black for the away matches.
"As well as the new playing kit, we're also getting Town polo shirts, fleeces and coats that will be available for supporters to buy.
"I had to wait until I knew what Ernie was deciding about his future before going ahead with the deal, because a new manager coming in could have shelved everything.
"But all's in place now and it'll be good to see the team in a new kit for a new league."
Meanwhile, Town's pre-season training programme begins next Thursday evening for the players.
Camrose Blues manager Howe is meeting with the agent of Sergio Torres, Cristian Levis and German De La Vega to discuss the possibilities of the Argentine trio returning to play in the 2004-2005 season.
