FORMER staff and governors at Southampton's Cantell School Maths and Computing College have been invited to the official opening of the school's new £15m complex.
Hundreds of guests are expected on July 1 to mark the move to the new purpose-built three-storey buildings as well as celebrate the school's new specialist status. Head teacher David Burge said: "We would be delighted if some of our former staff and governors could join us in honouring this success and looking forward to what I am sure will be a great future for Cantell."
Cantell was one of three of the city's schools to be rebuilt as part of a £42m Private Finance Initiative. Its new specialist status means it will benefit from extra government money over the next four years to provide more mathematics and computing opportunities for students, partner schools and community groups.
