THE bodywork is primed, the engine is fine-tuned and the wheels are set in motion - and that's just the drivers!
The event is the Aston Martin Owners Club's first Championship meeting at Thruxton for many years.
Whether you're an avid motor enthusiast or just enjoy a high speed, action packed, thrilling day out, be sure to head for the Thruxton track on Sunday July 4th. Competitions chairman, John Goldsmith promises a programme to suit everyone.
"You can enjoy the nostalgia and the tradition of the veteran pre-war models and you can marvel at the sleek lines and top speeds of the modern V8s," said John. "Or you can simply soak up the electric atmosphere as these elegant machines roar past you at speeds of near on 100 mph."
The Owners Club also hosts races for a number of other marques such as Austin Healeys, Triumphs and MGs, all of which offer a fantastic spectacle and promise a thrilling experience not to be missed. The flag goes up on the racing around 1pm.
