IT'S too good to be true for Dylan the five-year-old golden retriever.

Owner Karen Roy has become one of the area managers for the south's largest independent pet store chain PamPurredPets and so Dylan can now expect to try out many of the new food and toys samples that are tested by the company.

Karen, who has worked in the retail industry for 29 years, was recently with a national discount book company as an area manager.

Karen will now be responsible for 12 stores mainly within Hampshire and Dorset.

Steve Fowler, managing director and founder of PamPurredPets, says he is delighted to have Karen as part of the management team based from their Verwood headquarters and distribution centre.

"The role of area manager within our store network is that of supportive to our managers," says Steve Fowler.

"Karen's retail and management experience will be received well by the store members within her region."
