Lemar, Portsmouth Guildhall
AUDIENCES at Portsmouth Guildhall went crazy for ex-Fame Academy student Lemar.
Losers in TV talent shows are the real winners it seems. It's a theory borne out by this soulful star, who has enjoyed a more successful career than any of his fellow Fame Academy students - including the winners.
Although the show was excellent, the songs were suspiciously similar, with only two standouts, Lullaby and Dance With You. But his voice more than made up for it.
The show was a hit with the audience, and was made even better by a few covers of well known classics such as The Darkness's I Believe In A Thing Called Love, which he pulled off surprisingly well. People of all ages in the audience were not disappointed.
Easy to see why Lemar has outlasted his Fame Academy mates.
