SWIMMERS from the City of Southampton Swimming Club impressed in a biathlon at Fareham.
Competing for the first time at a biathlon event, ten-year-old old Mhairi-Clair Stewart (Youth E girls age group), took the overall gold medal after finishing first in the run and second in the swim.
Competing in the same age group, Lucy Pope gained pbs in both the swim and run.
In the Youth D boys event, Sebastian Willcocks, 12, also took the overall gold, winning the swim and finishing fourth in the run.
Alexander Reeves (15) won the older boys Youth B age group overall. He also won the medal for 'best swim' and was second in the run.
CoS dominated both the boys and girls Youth C age groups. In the boys event the City team of Jaffa Cole, Dan Morgan and Callum Stewart won the 'top team' award, with Cole gaining an individual bronze as well as second in the run.
The girls team of Hayley Couchman, Sammy Windebank and Joanna Jeffcoate also won the award for 'top team'.
Joanna won the swim followed by Hayley (second) and Sammy (fourth).
Also competing in the Youth C girls, Alice Bessey and Amy Pope produced pbs in the swim and the run.
