AN Eastleigh based bikers' club has staged a ride from Hampshire to London to mark the 50th anniversary of the release of the smash hit Marlon Brando movie The Wild One.
Members of the Good Old Boys Rockers' Society were joined by dozens of motorbike enthusiasts for the 80-mile ride and party.
Many of the riders were wearing The Wild One commemorative T-shirts.
They converged on The Pavilion pub at Battersea, south London, for a rock 'n' roll party on Saturday night to celebrate the golden anniversary. Then it was back down the M3 for a quiet Sunday breakfast at Fleet services.
The 1954 film, which also starred Lee Marvin, was so controversial it was not shown in the UK until 1968 because it was banned by the British Board of Film Censors.
It was the first feature film to focus on motorcycle violence in America.
Society president Dave Foreman, 49, from Eastleigh, said: "I remember I was 15 when I saw The Wild One in the old Classic cinema in Southampton."
