AARON Monteverde, a young virtuoso in piano flamenco, will be at The Forge in The Anvil this Friday from 8pm.
Flamenco is lively, passionate and very energetic and Aaron (pictured) uses the piano's power and complex sounds to enhance this expressive genre.
He was inspired by a great exposure to flamenco guitar music from an early age and, at the age of six, was already performing for special school events and private concerts in Gibraltar and Spain.
His music imitates the exact form of guitar flamenco playing, and all the special techniques involved, and you see him quite literally jumping off his seat as he flies from one end of the keyboard to the other.
Aaron has studied in Spain with the famous pianist Felipe Campuzano as well as in the UK and is sure to surprise you with an electrifying performance.
Tickets, priced at £11, with concessions £8, are available from the box office on 01256 844244, the website www.theanvil.org.uk or the ticket fax 01256 366900.
