There are clubs in Romsey, Andover, Eastleigh and Totton. Now they are looking for form a club in Winchester.
Region chairman, Devan Kandiah, said: "Lions are people ladies and gents who have decided to give something back to the communities in which they live. They work together to help those in need by providing practical and financial support.
"Funds are raised through a variety of activities throughout the year with the expenses of running the club paid out of the membership subscriptions."
An information evening for prospective members is being held on Thursday, June 17th at the Winchester Centre, St George's Street. Two sessions will be held: one at 6.30pm and another at 8pm with refreshments provided.
Devan said: "If you would like to meet other likeminded people, extend your social life and help those less fortunate than yourself, the new Winchester Lions Club needs you. There are also many social activities not connected with fundraising."
