ABIGAIL SLATER and Jaffa Cole starred as City of Southampton swimmers impressed in the Bournemouth Junior Open Meet.
Ten-year-old Slater won the 100m freestyle (1.21.48) and 100m breaststroke (1.42.45) in personal best times.
She was second in the 50m freestyle (38.73) and 100m backstroke (1.34.12), and third in the 200m IM (3.13.25) - again, all personal bests.
Leah Husband, swimming in the 12 year age group, won the 50m freestyle (32.94), was second in the 200m freestyle (2.35.84) and third in the 200m IM (2.52.03, pb), 100m freestyle (1.10.12) and 50m butterfly (39.49).
Joanne Oliver, 13, was second in the 200m freestyle (2.26.75) and 100m freestyle (1.08.60, pb).
Also 13, Jaffa Cole won the 200m freestyle (2.23.38, pb), 200m IM (2.46.73, pb) and 100m freestyle (1.07.51, pb). He was second in the 100m breaststroke (1.30.74, pb).
Kirsty Ledingham won the 200m freestyle (2.23.49, pb), 200m IM (2.48.47, pb). She was second in the 100m freestyle (1.08.88) and the 100m butterfly (1.21.95).
