Bishop's Waltham was awash with sporting heroes on Saturday as the sports-themed carnival procession took to the streets of the town.
The Tour de France, Olympic flames, 118 marathon runners and the first modern Olympics were among the great sporting moments captured by hundreds of carnival-goers who took part.
Dozens of youngsters firing off water-pistols led the parade, which also included a tribute to England's 1966 world cup winning side.
The world's longest skateboard again made an appearance in the carnival parade as a group of the town's skate enthusiasts continue to fundraise for a skateboard park in Bishop's Waltham.
The West End Show Band, dressed as rabbits, brought up the rear as they encouraged dozens of spectators to join them in an impromptu rendition of Hey Macarena.
The carnival was followed by a fete in the grounds of Bishop's Waltham Palace where stalls included a coconut shy, a champagne draw, a children's fun fair and the annual grand draw. There was the chance to win a signed Saints football. Organisers, Bishop's Waltham Rotary Club hope to top the £6,000 raised for local charities last year.
