PLAY time turned to horror for a Hampshire toddler who nearly lost her sight after being mauled by a Labrador.
Two-year-old Molly-Mae Esposti of Lee-on-the-Solent needed three hours of emergency surgery on her face after she was attacked by the dog at her childminder's house in Gosport.
It happened on May 27 but details of the savage attack have just been revealed.
The toddler had a gash from her nose to her ear which narrowly missed her eye as well as cuts and bruises across the rest of her face.
The youngster was rushed to the Queen Alexandra Hospital.
Molly-Mae was attacked at the home of childminder Mandy Turner in Monckton Road.
A Gosport CID spokesman said they were investigating what they described as a serious incident.
