HELP is at hand for Southampton people with a long-term illness or health condition.
Southampton City Primary Care Trust is running a new course offering weekly sessions covering everything from pain management techniques to dealing with anger, frustration and depression.
The Expert Patients Programme (EPP) also offers information on how to plan for the future and access local support groups and general health advice.
Alison Ford, senior trainer at EPP, said: "We would encourage anyone with a long-term health problem - whether physical or mental - to come along to these weekly sessions.
"All the tutors have a long-term illness themselves or have been a carer so they are fully aware of some of the everyday problems people may have."
