MORE than 500 Scouts, Beavers, Rainbows and Guides turned out for a colourful carnival this weekend, as they took part in a massive circus-themed parade.
Dressed as circus animals, clowns and even a cycling elephant, a series of ten floats paraded on to the Scout field in Romsey Road, Copythorne, for the annual festival.
It was the summer celebration of the 2nd New Forest North Scout group and included the traditional jeep race between two teams, the Everetts and the Kings.
An old-fashioned carousel provided rides throughout the day, and a motorcycle team even performed a daredevil stunt routine, getting into the Euro 2004 spirit by playing football while speeding around the arena.
Calmore teenager Lucy Whitlock, 15, was crowned Carnival Queen.
Organiser Lynden Bowen told the Daily Echo: "It's been a really successful day and brilliant fun."
