IT MUST be fete! A lot is happening all around us this week, starting with our neighbour Hartley Wespall's summer fete on Sunday, from 2pm, on The Green.
There's free parking opposite for all those ready to enjoy the fun.
Attractions range from the dog show and children's fancy-dress competition to the treasure hunt, bowling for the pig, pony rides, face painting and much more. Now, if the weather will just hold...
OPEN gardens: One is nearer God's heart in a garden than anywhere else on earth, so we're doing very well this time of year!
Get a little godliness, after a nice walk along the canal in North Warnborough, by stopping at no less than six gardens open in aid of our local cottage hospital this Sunday, from 2pm to 6pm.
Entrance is only £3.50 and is free for children - plant stalls, tea and pony trap rides are also on offer. Follow the signs!
FESTIVAL of Music and Drama: Luvvies take note... you'll be in your element this week, as the eighth biennial Winchfield Festival of Music and Drama kicks off tomorrow night with the Victorian thriller Gaslight (if you've seen the film, you'll know how creepy it gets!).
The festival takes place all week in and around Winchfield, catering for a wide variety of muscial and dramatic tastes, including classical concerts, a Punch and Judy show for the children, and jazz with George Melly!
Ticket prices range from £3.50 to £15.
Further information and a programme of events can be had from Ian Gavin-Brown on 01252 842487.
HAPPY birthday this weekend to amazing Grace!
