PARISH council: The next meeting is on Monday.
This will be the first full one under the chairmanship of Martin Adams.
Apart from that modest change, the routine remains as before - the meeting starts at 7.45pm with the public session at approximately 8pm, where you can raise issues for consideration by the parish council.
The parish council is currently seeking to gather information on all aspects of the new Thornhill Way/A33 traffic light installation which, despite several adjustments to timing, still appears to be rather more dangerous than the previous roundabout.
Feel free to e-mail the assistant parish clerk at planning@chineham.gov.uk with your thoughts.
If all has gone to plan, the installation of the youth shelter at the Tollhouse Meadow skate park should be all but complete by the time you read this column.
At least the solar lighting should perform well, given the current weather!
Other activities due to start about now are the tidying up of Petty's Brook, following long-awaited consultation with Thames Water's contractor, and the less-welcome construction of 37 houses on land off Stroud Close.
Any complaints about the building should be directed to the borough council, as the opportunity for input by the parish council and local residents has been minimal despite great promises of consultation.
KIDS' Club: Is tomorrow, at Christ Church, at 5pm.
LIBRARY: The mobile library will be in the village hall car park on Thursday, from 4pm to 4.20pm.
