LAST Saturday: At 3Cs coffee morning in the village hall, several members of the new committee acquainted themselves with this monthly social.
During the get-together, Brookvale Lottery numbers were drawn for the month of May.
The winners, who will each receive £10, were: Mr H Pullinger, of Deep Lane; Mrs Burniston, of Rochford Road; Mrs Charvel, of George Street; Mrs Murphy, of Deep Lane; and Ms J Vernon, of Essex Road.
If you are not already signed up for this lottery, you can easily do so by either calling me on the above number or checking the website www.brookvale.org.uk for details.
MEETING: The new committee of the Brookvale Community Association will be getting together on Thursday, at 8pm, in the village hall.
Anyone wishing to come along and see how things are shaping up for the forthcoming year is welcome to attend.
BUSY times: Next Tuesday, in Brookvale, the hall will be hosting another meeting of the LSA Network - the last for this academic year.
On the same evening, across the road, BCOT will be hosting the first of its two fashion event evenings in a large marquee. This is to be erected at the bottom end of the north site car park.
It is likely that parking will be more difficult than usual on this night, so please be tolerant.
