THE LATEST developments in employment law were explained at a packed seminar in Saints' St Mary's Stadium.
More than 100 business people and human resources specialists filled the Terry Paine Suite for the Employment Law Update 2004
Daily Echo editor Ian Murray gave the keynote speech emphasising the importance of communication to ensure good employee relations.
The paper employs 2,500 people in the region from teenagers to OAPs.
Also speaking were members of organisers Paris Smith & Randall's employment team.
Joan Biddlecombe spoke about changes to disciplinary and grievance procedures; partner Mary Siddall discussed changes to working time regulations; Laura McFadyen detailed discrimination law information and David Roath revealed upcoming changes in employment law.
Mr Roath said: "The seminar covered a wide range of employment law that all employers should be aware of.
"The seminar was very successful; there was a large turnout of over 100 people and the feedback has been very good."
Newsquest Hampshire managing director Stewart Dunn is to speak at the next seminar at the stadium on Wednesday, June 16.
