KENNET Carers Association is holding an Information Day on Monday, 14 June at the Bouverie Hall, Pewsey - between 10.30am and 3.30 pm.
Following the annual meeting, their guest speaker is Dr Simon Manchip, consultant psychogeriatrician at Saver-nake Hospital.
After lunch there will be an opportunity to browse the stands including groups offering information and advice on legal matters, health matters, pensions and benefits, mobility and diet. The event is taking place in Carers Week which supports the UK's six million carers - people who look after a friend, partner or relative.
The theme for Carers Week 2004 is health - two-thirds of carers who provide care for more than 50 hours per week say their health has been affected. "Everyone with caring responsibilities will be very welcome," said Hilary Hollinsworth of Kennet Carers Association.
