A NEW development of eight affordable homes in King's Sombourne have been officially opened by Mrs Mary Fagan Lord Lieutenant of Hampshire.
The scheme at Hunter Close provides affordable housing for people with connections to the area. The site consists of eight homes, two of which are for shared ownership and six for rent.
At the official opening Mrs Fagan was joined by Alan Turner, chairman of Test Valley Rural Housing Association who developed the scheme and mayor of Test Valley, Councillor Neville Whiteley.
Rents for the properties range from £63 to £85 per week depending on the property.
Shared ownership purchase will be for an initial 50 per cent of the value.
