Winchester's Holy Trinity Church was awash with flowers at the weekend as parishioners pulled out all the stops to put on a fine floral display to celebrate its 150th anniversary.
The festival was just one of several events being held this year to mark the milestone.
Holy Trinity is currently serving the congregation of St John's, which is currently closed for renovation. On Sunday, a special service was held at the Upper Brook Street church, followed by a celebration lunch attended by civic and church dignitaries, including the mayor, Jean Hammerton, and the Bishop of Richborough. Commenting on the festivities, the rector, the Revd Robert Teare, said: "People came from all over the country for the service.
Parishioners who have moved away returned with one couple coming from King's Lynn and another from Oxford. "The floral displays were excellent-a blend of western and Japanese-style arrangements which were used beautifully to show off our vestments."
