STAFF at a Winchester school are running this Sunday's Race for Life as a tribute to a former colleague who recently died of cancer.
Teachers and support staff from St Bede Primary School thought it would be fitting to make a mark of respect for Rosemary Taylor.
Deputy head teacher Rachel Johnstone said a team of 20 would be taking part this Sunday in the city's first Race for Life, held at River Park.
Mrs Johnstone said: "After Rosemary's death it was suggested by a parent that we might like to put a team in. We wanted to do it in memory of Rosemary."
* There is still time to sponsor the team, which can be contacted at the school on 01962 852463.
