Two massive sixes off the last two balls of the match by Richard Scott, both of which cleared the pavilion, gave Bournemouth a thrilling Southern Electric Cup second-round win over Lymington at the Sports Ground.
Bournemouth, last season's beaten finalists, had needed 13 runs off the last three balls of Christian Pain's final over to pass Lymington's 124-8 - but got home with a barrage of boundaries.
The former Hampshire left-hander, pictured below, straight drove the fourth ball to the long-on boundary and then twice swatted Pain over to the pavilion to give Bournemouth a thrilling three-wicket win.
Dan Jackson looked like being Bournemouth's hero before Scott's six-hitting spectacular.
The off-spinning all-rounder took 3-14 after Dave Griffiths (38) had threatened to dismantle the Bournemouth attack, and then hit 39 to push the visitors' reply to 62-1.
Two wickets each by Karl Whatham and Mike West put Lymington back on top - until Scott's sixes spoiled their quarter-final prospects.
Barton Peveril College sports teacher Ben Tait took 6-22 as BAT Sports beat neighbours Calmore Sports by 35 runs at Loperwood Park.
Neal Parlane (42), threatening a return to form, top scored in BAT's 122-9, but Tait's six-wicket spell in just 4.3 overs sent Calmore crashing to 87 all out.
Cup holders Havant scrambled through on a 'count back' after tieing with Premier 3 neighbours Purbrook.
The sides both scored 126-8 off 20 overs, but Havant progressed to the last eight by virtue of a higher total after ten overs.
South African Francois Engelbrecht got Purbrook's innings off to an incredible start, smashing veteran left-arm spinner Phil Loat for four successive sixes into the Havant Park tennis courts.
Engelbrecht (54), who took 27 off that Loat over, and James Iles (40) powered Purbrook to 119-1, but the innings completely lost its way with Mark Copping (3-3) and David Wade (2-21) sending five wickets falling for seven runs.
Even though Andy Perry (34) and Simon James (28) took their reply to 60-1, Havant were always stretched to reach the target.
The defending trophy holders dipped to 75-6 before Matt Ward (24) and Loat righted the ship.
But, in a frantic finish, Havant managed to level the scores - and scrambled through by virtue of a higher score at the halfway point of the respective innings.
A superb captain's performance from Richie Taylor gave Andover a nail-biting win over South Wilts, and a place in the quarter-finals.
The quick bowler came to the team's rescue at 26-4 and along with Dean Woodhouse (20) put on 52 for the fifth wicket. Taylor eventually fell for 41 leaving Matt Hooper to push the home side's score on to 119-8 at the close.
Rob Wade (44) started strongly in reply and with Jon Chandler (38no) looked to have the game under control at 82-2 with five overs remaining. But two quick wickets from Taylor, including the influential Wade, gave Andover hope of an unlikely victory.
Andover's skipper took the ball again for the crucial last over and, with the help of a run out, restricted South Wilts to 117-6 giving the London Road side an inspirational two-run victory
Adrian Aymes could be a doubtful starter for Hursley Park's top Premier Division 2 clash against Lymington at The Quarters on Saturday after retiring hurt in the eight-wicket win over United Services.
The former Hampshire wicketkeeper limped off with a thigh injury after making an unbeaten 45 towards Hursley's bid to overhaul a US total of 101-7.
Martin Taylor, Stuart Wilson and Jimmy Taylor all took two wickets for Hursley, who coasted home with three overs to spare.
Bashley (Rydal) avenged their recent shock Cockspur Cup defeat by beating New Milton by 41 runs at Fernhill.
The Sexton brothers Andy (38) and Neil (30 not out), aided by Matt King (28), carried Bashley to 162-6 - a total New Milton seldom threatened.
They closed at 121-9.
