SCORES of affordable new homes are to be built in Southampton over the coming months.
City council leaders have approved the £3.3m scheme to create 101 properties, working alongside various housing associations over the next three years.
Hundreds of other properties will also be erected as part of the £20m funding from the South East Regional Housing Board confirmed earlier this year.
A further £13.7m will be raised by the housing associations to develop the new units.
About 150 of the new properties will be earmarked for NHS workers and 50 for teachers.
