ANDERS Svensson should still start Sweden's Euro 2004 opener against Denmark next Monday despite being among the subs for their final friendly against Poland.
The Swedish midfielder came on after 62 minutes for Zlatan Ibrahimovic in the 3-1 win which included a goal from Henrik Larsson on his return to international football.
Joint managers Lars Lagerback and Tommy Soderberg took the decision to rest some of their stars after a tiring season and Svensson was among them.
Rumoured Saints transfer target Mikael Nilsson started at right-back in the absence of former Leeds star Teddy Lucic.
