MORE than 100 teams of business people from 73 companies across the UK are to descend on the Isle of Wight tomorrow for a gruelling four-day marathon team-building session.
The largest event of its kind in Europe, the Microsoft Challenger's Trophy sees as many as 700 staff taking part, including at least 28 from Hampshire. Each team must include senior company employees.
Volunteers are put through a series of demanding events over the four days and can be doing anything from canoeing to abseiling. Exact details of this year's challenges are a closely guarded secret until the event is under way and organisers say they will reveal "significant truths" about participants.
Televised on both Channel 4 and Sky, the Ryde based team-building challenge has attracted entrants from top companies such as drinks giant Coca Cola, investment specialists Merrill Lynch and drugs giant GlaxoSmithKline.
