COUNCILLORS: They are working hard to improve life in Oakridge and South View, in particular by trying to solve the problems of heavy lorries parking outside Tesco in Oakridge Road.
Your councillors are also looking at parking problems in South View, Doswell Way and the surrounding area.
MEETING: It is hoped that a new residents association will be launched at the end of June, and to that end there will be a meeting on Monday, June 28, at the Oakridge Hall For All, from 7pm, to discuss this and to get it re-started.
It is important that everyone attends this meeting as it is a chance for you to have your say and contribute ideas and suggestions.

CONGRATULATIONS: To Mary Brian, who has just been elected chairman of the Norden Community Association, which is the management committee of the Oakridge hall.
Apart from a few remaining members of the old committee there is also some new blood, and I am sure that we can expect great things of from them.
However the committee needs a treasurer.
