GORDON Ingram: Sadly, Gordon is no longer with us, after a lifetime of contribution to the quality of life in Kingsclere.
I understand the funeral is likely to be on Thursday.
SKATE ramp: The parish council has reluctantly decided to chain-off the ramp following problems with ambulance access to the site.
The councillors are personally liable as trustees of the Recreation Ground, and are looking for a possible alternative site.
When it was being installed we had a severe outbreak of nimbyism, but if you have any ideas, please get in touch with Barbara Smith, the parish clerk, on 298634.
ROMAN Revels: Light entertainment on a Roman theme by the Kingsclere Players, with a hog roast and wine bar, at Porch Farm on Saturday, June 26.
Tickets are available from Swan Street Stores.
SWINGING '60s: There will be a tea dance at the Village Club on Saturday, June 19.
Tickets can be obtained from the Saturday Coffee Bar in the church.
SUMMER fete: The Busy Bees are having their annual summer fete at the Scout Hut, Strokins Road, on Saturday, June 12, from 2pm to 4pm.
