ELECTIONS: By the time you read this we shall be only a few days away from the Euro and local elections.
Thankfully, we are not being experimented with and you can therefore still place your vote at a real polling station, unless you have previously requested a postal vote.
There is only one polling station for the whole of Chineham and that is, as usual, the village hall.
Polling takes place from 7am to 10pm. Please don't forget to vote.
CHRIST Church: The Christ Church Fellowship Group meets on Wednesday, June 9.
The service of reading, prayer and hymns will include Gordon Randall speaking about "Looking after God's World".
Everyone is welcome. Coffee is served from 9.45am, and the meeting is at 10.15am.
LIBRARY: Chineham Library celebrates its 20th birthday at the end of June.
This presents an opportunity to remind you of the excellent services provided at our local branch, and to emphasise the importance of using the facilities so that they remain available.
There have been many changes over the last 20 years, and new offerings such as lending CDs and DVDs form an important part of the service.
Computers are also available and access to the internet is free, although advance booking is recommended.
You can call the library on 465643 for more information.
