BRAMLEY Scout Group: The group is looking for an Akela, but no offers have yet been received to take over from Tracey who retires in July.
In April, she was presented with a special "Wood Beads" award by the district commissioner.
Tracey will be missed when she retires in July, having worked hard for Scouting for seven years.
The group is desperately seeking a replacement and asks if you could give this some thought and maybe volunteer to help.
Tracey is happy to tell you what is involved. Contact her on 883146 or Jane on 881647.
PARISH council: At the May meeting, difficulties at the level crossing were again discussed and it was decided that county councillor Keith Chapman's advice would be sought, as it appears that something should be done to prevent people getting onto the crossing and the gates then coming down.
Help has been offered through the Probation Service to generally clean up and re-paint the local bus shelters.
A replacement for the broken seat near the church car park is awaiting delivery and arrangements have been made to install it on arrival.
The chairman, Cllr John Ferguson, thanked all the councillors who are standing down in June for all the work they have done for the council.
