A NEW police chief is to take over on the Isle of Wight in August.
Det Chief Insp Stephanie Morgan will take over the Island's top policing job from Supt David Kilbride shortly after Cowes Week.
Supt Kilbride, formerly based in Southampton, has been the Island's area commander since August 2002.
He will now take up a new post with Hampshire's major crime investigation team.
The incoming superintendent is currently a chief inspector in the Hampshire police's professional standards department at the force's Winchester headquarters.
