POLICE have appealed for the public's help following a hit-and-run crash on the Isle of Wight.
Officers are keen to trace the driver of a dark green saloon which was involved in a collision with a red Nissan sports car on the A3020 at Cowes about 5.10pm on Thursday.
Police said the green car, possibly a Skoda 1998 Felicia model, had collided with the back of the red one near the Northwood showground.
The drivers agreed to exchange details in a lay-by further up the road but the driver of the green car, described as white and in her 40s or 50s, failed to stop at the agreed place and has not reported the incident to the police.
Any information should go to PC Paul Jennings at Cowes police station on 0845 045 4545.
