POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a man needed hospital treatment following a late-night robbery in a Southampton park.
The 48-year-old victim, who was drunk, was approached by two men in Andrews Park, near Charlotte Place Roundabout, who hit him on the head and pushed him to the ground.
They stole a wallet containing £70, sunglasses and a watch.
The victim spent two days in hospital for treatment on facial injuries after the incident between 10.30pm to 11pm on Wednesday, May 26.
He cannot remember any details of the offenders but did see a man with dark hair in a ponytail style who was sitting on a bench with two to three other people near where the robbery happened.
