Alex Dunkley produced a storming display to upset the odds with a 4-1 win over Mike Finn to power through to the last four of the Southampton Individual Snooker tournament.
Playing at Chandler's Ford Snooker Centre, Dunkley slotted home a couple of 30-plus breaks while Finn was unable to raise his game to the standard he achieved the previous week when he produced three of the tournament's high breaks - 93, 70 and 63.
The victory meant Dunkley won Group B but Finn still has the chance to qualify when he plays Stewart Crosswell in the last of the group games.
Paul Stenning is also in the last four after another fluent win in Group A - this time a 4-1 success against Mike Daly.
Neil Davies completes the powerful line-up for the semis, which will be held on Wednesday at 7.30pm at the Woolston Conservatives Club, St Annes Road.
