THEY say that it's hard for British music artists to crack America but it seems that sometimes Britain can be just as hard.
It took Californian sisters Ann and Nancy Wilson over a decade to enjoy chart success in the UK after exploding onto the stateside music scene in 1975.
But it was worth the wait, for both the band themselves and British soft rock fans.
In 1987 Heart shot to number two with the anthem Alone, which continues to be a favourite on 'late night love' radio shows.
After enjoying a string of hits in the late 80s and early 90s, including These Dreams, All I Wanna do is Make Love to You and What About Love, they disappeared from the music scene.
But they are back with their first studio album in ten years - Jupiter's Darling - which is released this month and have embarked on a world tour, the British leg of which brings them to Bournemouth on Wednesday.
Heart still have a huge following and tickets have been selling fast for their date at the Bournemouth International Centre.
Wednesday, June 9th. Tickets: £28.50. Box office: 0870 1113000.
