Totton College has won the Hampshire under 17 girls county basketball cup, beating Southdowns College in an exciting final. The match swung both ways in the opening session, but Totton later opened a 20 point lead that could not be beaten. They took their foot off the gas in the closing minutes and ran out winners 55-37
The Totton college rugby team has brushed aside the local competition to take top slot in the Hampshire colleges Merit table.
The team played 11 games, winning 8 and drawing one. Only beaten by two teams, they were able to take revenge each time by winning the return match. The team scored a total of 308 points with only 120 against. Coached by Bryn Marshall the team has played some excellent running rugby and it's expected that they will build on their success next season.
