MIDDLE Wallop Airfield hosted what organisers believe to be the biggest kite and buggy festival at the weekend.
This year's festival attracted more than 900 flyers from across the country, which is more than double last year's attendance.
The festival has been held at Middle Wallop for eight years but this is only the second year it has been staged over three days.
Organiser Roy Broadley said it was the biggest ever kite and buggy festival in the country.
He said: "We were gob-smacked by the number of people." The weekend was a huge success despite one flyer from Leicester being taken injured after he was lifted about 30ft by his kite.
The festivals attract a range of people aged from 15 to 60. Roy said: "You can make these events as extreme as you want."
And after this year's runaway success Roy is hoping next year will be even better.
