THE Hamble Players remember D-Day this week with a nostalgiapacked show to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the Normandy landings.
We'll Meet Again features songs, sketches, comedy and dance to evoke the war years, with tributes to Vera Lynn and Glenn Miller.
The Players' president, 91-year-old Eveline Wakeford, from Sarisbury Green, has called on her own wartime memories to help out director Maria Barnett.
Eveline, who is also acting in the show, says: "I was a young woman with a baby girl at the time of the D-Day landings. My husband Geoffrey worked at Poole Harbour refuelling the flying boats."
You can see We'll Meet Again at Hamble Village Memorial Hall until Saturday.
Performances start at 7.30pm and tickets cost £8 which includes supper. Call the box office on 01489 574915.
