Hedge End youngster Ryan Flood is hoping to launch his professional career with First Division newcomers QPR.
The 15-year-old goalkeeper has signed schoolboy forms for the West London club after trials with Saints and Reading came to nothing.
Ryan, pictured, played for Hedge End Rangers from the ages of seven to 13 - and bounced back after unsuccessful trials with Saints and AFC Bournemouth when he was 10.
However, he finally signed for the Cherries aged 13 but left at the end of the 2003/04 season.
That was partly due to the fact that Clive Saunders, who still coaches Ryan, was no longer the Dorset club's goalkeeping coach.
Ryan, who played one match as a sub for the Cherries Under-19 team during his time at Dean Court, has represented Southampton Schools for the past two seasons at under-14 and under-15 level.
He has also been the first choice No 1 for Hampshire Schools at under 14 and 15s.
