WOULD you like to share the bill with Will Young, Bill Wyman and Rolf Harris ?
If you belong to a budding band of musicians then it's a dream that Eastleigh Music Festival organisers can make come true.
Young bands are being offered the chance to compete for a gig at the town's musical blockbuster.
Thanks to the backing of Eastleigh Borough Council and Eastleigh Housing Association, the Battle of the Bands will pave the way for winning bands to share star billing.
So if you are 20 or under and play great music this could be your bid for fame.
As well as getting a slot on the main stage at the festival, there will be a chance to have a CD of the gig and a session in the professional recording studio at Hedge End's Wildern School.
Eastleigh Music Festival music organiser Peter Chegwyn is delighted that young and up-and-coming bands can play at the festival alongside such big names in rock and pop.
He said: "I am very keen to increase community involvement in the festival and give as many local bands as possible the chance to perform on the main stage."
To enter the Battle of Bands, pop into The Point, Eastleigh, or contact Gjenya Cambray on 023 8062 7805 for an application form.
All demos need to be in by July 7.
