TIME is running out for anyone wanting to nominate famous sights to be included on Southampton's own version of the popular board game Monopoly.
City landmarks such as St Mary's Stadium and WestQuay shopping centre are expected to be immortalised on the Monopoly Southampton edition, which will hit the shops this autumn.
Promoters have promised the game will reflect the essence and spirit of the city.
Southampton streets like Oxford Street and Park Lane - which also featured in the original Monopoly game based in London - could also be included.
Today makers of the official Monopoly Southampton edition revealed the Old Kent Road spot was proving the most popular square with the public.
The bargain basement £60 square - the cheapest slot on the board - has proved more in demand with voters than the ritzy Mayfair spot.
But today Monopoly chiefs were keeping the most popular suggestions under their trademark top hats and close to their community chests until the game hits the shop shelves in October, priced at £24.99.
Southampton Monopoly inventor Mark Marriott said: "The board will be put together after nominations close at the end of the month.
"All the squares are in very hot demand but we're still open to suggestions both from the public and organisations themselves."
Nominations for all squares close on Monday. Any further suggestions can be e-mailed to: soton@winningmoves.co.uk
