BROOKVALE Teazer: Held last Friday, this was yet another great success.
The mayor attended and joined one of the nine teams.
"Gerry & the Pacemakers", as his team was called, came second to last, but certainly had their fair share of fun.
The Rainbow Warriors won by just a few points, pipping the Black Dam Bluffers to the post in the last round.
A sum in the region of £70, collected via the raffle, was donated to the mayor's charity.
As this was the very last event to be organised by the current committee, it was made extra special by the provision of finger-snacks from Kirsten's Kitchen.
CLOSED: Little Chums Parent and Toddler Group has closed.
Sadly there were not enough people attending and this made the hire of the hall too costly.
The group had been running for approximately one year on Monday mornings.
This means that the only parent and toddler group in this area is at the village hall, Lower Brook Street, on Wednesdays, from 1.15pm to 2.45pm.
BCOT Fashion Show: This will take place on June 14 and 15.
The evening will be an opportunity to view the high standard of design and craftsmanship produced by the students.
BCOT Fun Day: This is being held on Saturday, June 19.
Entries for the painting competition, which will be judged on the day, must be submitted by Friday, June 4.
