THE last bank holiday in May is always a treat for fans of dance music - and this year is no exception.
Homelands - or We Love Homelands to be exact - returns this weekend for another 17-hour, non-stop session of live music and DJ sessions.
Held once again at the Matterley Bowl near Winchester, the music festival starts at 1pm on Saturday and runs through until 6am on Sunday.
Up to 35,000 revellers from across the country are expected to flock to the clubbing Mecca, which is the first outdoor music festival of the season.
Organisers Darren Hughes and Mean Fiddler have concocted an impressive international line-up, with acts including The Music - making their only UK festival appearance this summer - New York chart stars Scissor Sisters, Faithless and London Elektricity all appearing on the live music stage.
Radio 1 is also hosting an outdoor stage and beaming the event live to the nation. The station's favourite DJs, including Paul Van Dyk, Seb Fontaine, Judge Jules and Dave Pearce are all lined up to help make it a truly memorable event.
Five more giant-sized arenas will be erected and equipped with state of the art light rigs and sound systems.
The spectrum of dance music will be covered, including house, hip-hop, drum and bass and eclectic.
Matterley Bowl, Winchester, tomorrow. Starts: 1pm. Tickets: £54 plus booking fee. Box office: 0870 1500 044.
