Trojans suffered a one-wicket defeat at the hands of Rowledge, their second loss of the season.
Winning the toss and electing to bat Trojans soon lost Simon Williams, but Dan Babidge, promoted to open the innings in the absence of Mario Mohammed, played solidly before being caught and bowled for Lloyd for 11.
Nigel Le Bas was out for 17, but Jamie Donaldson, playing his first cricket match since September, showed he had lost none of his touch and as usual he hit the ball with great power for 44 before being caught behind.
Mike Durand made a useful 34 and Adam Denny 16 as Trojans reached 182 all out, which, in view of the short boundary, probably wasn't enough.
For Rowledge, Warner and Chris Yates junior took three wickets each, Lloyd two, Bonser one and there was one run out.
When Rowledge batted, openers Morant and Armstrong made a good start. However, when Armstrong was out for 13, Morant for 30 and overseas player Hicks cheaply, the home team found themselves 47 for 3.
Chris Yates junior, who had recently returned from Australia, then joined David Lloyd, and they added 50 runs before Lloyd was bowled for 21.
Opening bowlers Paul Douglas and Jamie Donaldson both bowled their full allotment of 12 overs in single spells, with Douglas taking three wickets and Donaldson one.
Simon Williams and Tim Felstead then came on to bowl, and Felstead claimed the important wicket of Yates for 50. With Williams taking one wicket and Felstead four Rowledge were reduced to 162 for 9, still needing 21 for victory. However, Ian Metcalfe (25no) and Simon Bonser (9no) saw them home. Although Felstead bowled well, he contributed the last three runs by bowling three wides!
