NOISE pollution busters have set up a hotline to deal with problems at the Homelands music festival.
The event at Cheesefoot Head near Winchester this weekend features some of the biggest names in dance music.
It starts at midday on Saturday and finishes at 7am on Sunday.
In the past Winchester Council has received scores of complaints about noise pollution from people living in a five-mile radius.
Environmental health officers will also be on hand throughout the festival to check facilities on-site - including the water supply, toilets, health and safety, catering and clearance of litter - for a temporary population equivalent in size to a small town.
In considering the licence application the council paid particular attention to the potential for nuisance to nearby householders from a variety of sources.
The following helpline telephone numbers are available for anyone who needs to contact the environmental health team.
Before the event: for noise nuisance issues 01962 840222 ext. 2488 (in office hours); for all other issues 01962 840222 ext. 2188 (in office hours).
During the event, 8am Saturday until 7am Sunday: for noise nuisance issues 01962 863493; for police matters 0845 045 4545; for all other issues 01962 865407.
