Last Saturday the Andover Tennis Club held their Road to Wimbledon tournament for U14 girls.
It was the first time for many years that the club has had enough girls playing tennis to merit holding such a tournament and the standard of play from all the competitors was excellent.
In the semi-finals of the Plate competition, Gemma Orchard beat Kirsty Smith 6-3 and Madeleine Hancock beat Annabel Barrons 6-2.
In the Plate Final Gemma Orchard beat Madeleine Hancock 6-0.
In the main draw, the quarter-finals produced a hard fought game between Erin Harvey and Catherine Reynolds with Catherine making it through to the next round.
