Silverstone circuit hosted rounds three and four of the BRSCC Super Coupe Cup, where Ludgershall driver Matt Speakman was keen to extend his class lead in the Rover 216 Gti.
In qualifying Speakman was unable to get a clear lap to set a fast time for grid position, leaving him a disappointing third in class for the start of race one.
When the red lights went out at the start he went on full attack, needing to gain places to close on his class rivals.
