Longparish v East Tytherley
ON SATURDAY at the Parish ground Longparish's cricketers emulated the film 'The Great Escape'.
Batting first on a good, fast and hard pitch with a lightning quick outfield, they were on the ropes at 34-4 against a useful East Tytherley side in a Hampshire County Division Four match.
It was left to Paul White and George Kousseff to restore some pride in the batting and this they did with aplomb adding 96 runs for the fifth wicket. White was unfortunately run out after making a valuable 53 with the score on 130-5.
