SCOTLAND manager Berti Vogts will be without a number of experienced internationals for tomorrow night's friendly in Estonia.

Vogts has already drafted Livingston left back Jamie McAllister into the squad and the game also provides debut possibilities for Almondvale team-mate David McNamee, former Under-21 international Richard Hughes and his Pompey team-mate Nigel Quashie, a former England B international who re-qualifies through a Glaswegian grandfather.

Captain Christian Dailly, who has inherited the armband until Barry Ferguson returns from a knee injury, misses out because the game clashes with West Ham's preparations for the Nationwide Division One play-off final with Crystal Palace.

Celtic midfielder Stephen Pearson and Walsall defender Paul Ritchie also look set to be absentees as both have undergone scans on injuries with Pearson suffering from a calf problem and Ritchie hampered by an Achilles problem.

Kevin Kyle, the Sunderland striker, has been laid low by a throat infection and may not be able to join the squad until the weekend, when the Scots have a home friendly with Trinidad and Tobago at Easter Road.

Burns said: "It shows how difficult an international manager's job can be but it is also an opportunity for the younger players to show what they can do.

"The games are there for them. All the manager can do is provide the opportunity for the players."
